Biography - Senior Pastor: Rev. Dr. Anthony T. Turkson
Biography

Rev. Dr. Anthony T. Turkson obtained a Diploma in Business Studies from the Accra Polytechnic in Accra,
Ghana, West Africa.  He continued his education at the Institute of Professional Studies there, where he
successfully completed the Foundation and Intermediate parts of the examination of the Institute of Chartered
Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).  In January 1983, Rev. Turkson proceeded to England to undertake a
course of study for the final parts of the ICSA examination at the London School of Accountancy, specializing in
General and Financial Administration.  He also has an advanced English Language Certificate from the Royal
Society of Arts, London, England.

In the area of theology and ministry, Rev. Turkson has been ministering actively since January 1982 and
possesses a Bachelor of Religious Education degree, a Masters degree in Theology, and a Doctor of
Philosophy degree (December 1996).  Rev. Turkson has ministered in Ghana and Liberia, West Africa, London,
England (January 1983 to January 1986), Paris, France, Liege and Brussels, Belgium and has a vision to take
the Word of God to the island nations, (Isaiah 2.4), beginning with Haiti and Jamaica (Summer 2001).

Dr. Turkson is the Founder and Pastor of World Missions Ministries, which has churches in Clinton, Maryland
and Springfield, Virginia, and an Evangelistic Outreach in Washington, D.C.  As part of God's mandate on his life
to penetrate the darkness of the world with the true light of Jesus, Pastor Turkson has taught and oversees
Bible Study classes conducted in corporate and government office weekly in the Washington, D.C. area, in
such organizations as:

He completed both Communication and Newsletter Design Certificate courses by the American Management
Association, and Christian counseling courses in Crisis Management with the American Association of
Christian Counselors, which testifies of his continued commitment to WMMBC’s institutional development.
















He has also completed Radio Broadcasting, Audience Psychology in Film, and TV production courses with the
Fairfax Public Access Corporation, and currently hosts the True Light Radio and Television teaching broadcast
on  several community cable access stations, weekdays  WFAX AM 1220 from 2:00 pm to 2:15 pm.
